NEOSOCIETY: when in Schwabing and a matcha addiction just like me, I recommend starting your day with a yummy matcha with coconut rice milk and the delicious cinnamon buns or a raw matcha bite. Bastian and his team offer a variety of hot and cold matcha drinks of the best quality, raw bites, and a well-curated selection of organic snacks. My current fave is the strawberry iced matcha!

PETIT FRITZ: I love to have a quick croissant and good coffee while planning the day ahead or meeting with stylists and editors. Make sure to come by for oysters and mussels if you love these dishes!

SCHUMANNS TAGESBAR: The classic go-to for starting your day the Italian way with a quick espresso and a sandwich at the bar or a first appointment with business partners. Located in the center of Munich with a view of luxury stores Mytheresa and Lodenfrey, it’s always a good idea for business appointments all day long.
CAFÉ MORSO: When opting for one of the best coffees in town, next to Bar Centrale on the opposite side of my beloved Cortiina Hotel on Ledererstrasse close to Marienplatz & Viktualienmarkt, you shouldnt miss a visit to MORSO. Get your coffee the Italian way, pair it with a super yummie Cornetto con crema and enjoy the beautiful interior. With its four locations in the city you‘ll find a close one for sure - though the original at Nordendstraße is still my fave. When here make sure to get the best handmade bread in town at Julius Brantner, Nordenedstrasse 23.
MORSO Museo at Theresienstraße is on your way to Museum Brandhorst, Ballabeni and Stephanie Thatenhorst.
CASPAR PLAUTZ: Offers a broad variety of potatoes of the best quality. With its small integrated kitchen, Casper and his team serve super tasteful, healthy dishes—guess what? With potatoes in all kinds. Enjoy an easy lunch in the quirky atmosphere of Viktualienmarkt: Potatoes at Caspar Plautz, daily 12-3 pm
KAFFEERÖSTEREI @ Viktualienmarkt: My go-to for the best coffees in the market. Just next door to CASPAR PLAUTZ and the best organic veggies and fruits at Trübenecker Bio am Viktualienmarkt. They offer the best fresh juices in the market.
TUSHITA Teahouse: A must if you are up for vegan menus and super yummy vegan cakes. Try the black sesame one if you are lucky enough to get one of the always quickly sold-out pieces. HOTEL KÖNIGSHOF: Visit the rooftop bar for sundowners at the just-opened luxury hotel of the Marriott group. Stunning views over the whole city right in the heart of the center close to the station. Amazing signature drinks and a chill atmosphere. Psst: the spa must be amazing too. Why not get yourself a signature treatment after a long day?

ROSEWOOD HOTEL: With its opening last fall the luxury ROSEWOOD offers a great range of places to unwind from a busy day in the city. Enjoy a signature treatment and a swim at the luxurious Asaya Spa at one of the cities most prestigious buildings located close to, Marienplatz, the heart of Munich.
In Summer I love especially the beautiful courtyard to enjoy the artistry, one of a kind pastries from chef Shinas and an Espresso Martini in the beautiful bar Montez before going to sleep.

SCHREIBEREI: THE PLACE TO BE HAPPY, SATISFIED, INSPIRED. One of the new chicer, but still cool and relaxed places, located on three floors in one of the oldest buildings in town, only a few steps from Marienplatz. The lately opened restaurant is known for its excellent cuisine with French and Japanese accents and its beautiful garden. Either the new way of dining either with fine dining in the Michelin star awarded Tohru on the third floor, a more easy but still outstanding dinner on the other floors or just step by for a signature drink und the stars in the beautiful courtyard or bar.

PESCHERIA: A lovely Mediterranean fish and seafood restaurant with a family-friendly atmosphere close to Sendlinger Tor. All things seafood are super yummy, and the small garden is a hidden gem in the city. As a starter, I recommend the variations for two and the fish in a salt crust!

HAUS DER KUNST: A must-visit for outstanding exhibitions of contemporary art. Always a good idea on rainy days. Check out the current show of artist Luisa Badhauer: Afterglow, with its amazing spectrum of colors, and the show of Liliane Lijn: Arise Alive. There’s a guided tour on Saturdays from 4-5 pm.

LES COLOMBES - THE WHITE DOVES: The Art-for-peace installation of Michael Pendry at the Heilig-Geist-church is a must see when around the corner at Viktualienmarkt or Marienplatz. Thousands of white doves await you in the ceiling of the church. Each day from 3pm you are invited to fold your own dove for peace with your wishes and prayers that will become part of the installation when it moves on to Jerusalem in October.

I love to start my days with a class at one of these two favorite studios:
WUNDA PILATES: Wunda Pilates is the little rebel among the Pilates studios in Munich. Stylish, but without esotericism and scented lamps. State of the art, but without frills. Classic Pilates is taught here on the equipment - the most effective form of Pilates that makes you strong, slim and healthy. It is not for nothing that it is currently enjoying great popularity among models. Anna Hammer and Sandra Forster are the core of studio giving individual lessons, while the champions of tomorrow train in the neighboring Mariposa boxing club.

THE SANCTUARY: With two yoga studios in the city, founder Roni Lacerda and her team offer amazing classes, workshops, and retreats. One of my current favorite classes is BECOMINGME Yoga on Friday mornings at the Schwabing studio. This format, developed by mastermind and coach Robert Ehrenbrand, focuses on building a strong mindset and inner growth.

CARTA PURA | Papierladen: My fave for my passion for papers and all things writing. The inspiring „Papierladen“ is located in the heart of Munich, near University and the famous art museums (Pinakothek). The shop is known as „the one with the beautiful papers“. They sell fine paper in many sizes, colours and patterns, besides this all kinds of paper products, selected stationery, bookbinding supplies, post cards, ribbons and the like. Not only in Munich is the shop famous, customers from all over the world come to buy for their private purpose. The Papierladen is more than simply a location for here the passion for paper is cultivated and you can find the products worldwide under the name CARTA PURA. A visit in the Munich store is something special and worthwhile.
